Is LinkedIn automation safe?
No, not entirely, and any vendor telling you otherwise is selling. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automated access, and its official API does not permit third parties to send connection requests, read the feed, react or comment. Every tool in this category works around that by driving a real logged-in session, which means account restriction is always possible. The risk is real but manageable: it is driven far more by behaviour patterns, volume, repetition, timing and acceptance rate, than by the mere fact of using a tool.
What the terms actually say
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits using bots or other automated methods to access the service, and prohibits copying profiles or data through automated means. This is not ambiguous.
Separately, the official LinkedIn API simply does not offer the endpoints these tools need. There is no sanctioned way for a third party to send a connection request on your behalf. Every product in this category, including this one, works by driving a real session.
That means the question is not whether you are within the rules. You are not. The question is what level of risk you are accepting and how well it is managed.
What actually gets accounts restricted
Restrictions follow patterns rather than any single threshold. The strongest signals are a low invitation acceptance rate, a new account behaving like an established one, identical messages sent to many people, activity running through the night or across weekends, and perfectly regular timing between actions.
The fastest route of all is being reported. One recipient marking a message as spam carries more weight than any volume figure, which is why message quality is an account safety measure and not just a marketing one.
Two ways vendors address it
The infrastructure approach gives each account a dedicated IP address or residential proxy, so requests do not look like they come from a data centre. Expandi and HeyReach are the clearest examples, and it is a legitimate defence against one specific detection method.

- Never send the same message to many people. Repetition is detectable by the platform and by the recipients, who report it.

Is it safer to send fewer, better messages?
Substantially, and for two reasons that compound. Lower volume attracts less algorithmic attention.
