What to do if your account is restricted

Turn off sending immediately, then use LinkedIn normally by hand for several days. Complete any verification LinkedIn asks for, since that often lifts a temporary restriction. Do not create a second account. When it clears, resume at a much lower volume rather than where you left off.

Immediately

  • Switch sending off, so nothing is attempted while the account is in a bad state.
  • Sign in to LinkedIn directly and use it as you normally would.
  • Complete any identity or verification check promptly.
  • Do not create a second account. It is usually detected and both end up restricted.

Afterwards

Treat the account as new. Reconnect it so the warm-up period applies again rather than resuming at the previous allowance.

If invitation acceptance was low before the restriction, the targeting is the problem and reducing volume alone will not fix it.
