Help · Account safety
How your LinkedIn account is protected
Account safety is treated as a behaviour problem rather than an infrastructure one. The protections are conservative daily limits, a three week warm-up on new accounts, sending only during working hours on weekdays, irregular timing, one message per person, and refusing to send drafts that read as machine-written. None of this removes the risk, and we will not claim it does.
What is enforced
- Daily caps on messages and on profile lookups, which are the actions that attract attention fastest.
- A warm-up period on newly connected accounts.
- Weekdays and working hours only, evaluated in your own timezone.
- Irregular intervals between actions rather than a fixed cadence.
- One message per person per cycle, so nobody is contacted twice in a day.
- A phrase used with one person is not reused with another soon afterwards.
- Drafts that read as machine-written are blocked rather than flagged.
The honest limitation
LinkedIn does not permit this category of automation, and account restriction is always possible. Any vendor telling you their product is completely safe is overstating it.
Message quality is an account safety measure and not only a marketing one. Being reported by a recipient is the fastest route to a restriction, faster than any volume threshold.
