Turning plays on and off
A play is a single rule of the form "when this happens, draft that". Your workspace starts with every play switched off, which means nothing will be drafted until you turn at least one on. You do that under Settings, then Plays, where each one says what it does and how many drafts it has written so far.
What you get to begin with
- Congratulate on a role change, when somebody in your network moves job.
- Welcome on a connection accepted, sent only ever as the first thing said to that person.
- Comment on a new post, which responds in public to the substance of what they wrote.
Why they start off
Because the first thing a new account should do is read your network, not write to it. Turning a play on before you have seen what it would say is how people end up approving things in bulk.
Each card shows how many drafts that play has written and how many were sent, so the decision to keep it on is based on what it actually produced rather than on what it sounded like.
Only one fires per person per event
If two plays would both match the same event, only the higher priority one runs. Two messages about the same job change is the clearest possible sign that nobody typed them.
