Help · Signals and playbooks
Why a signal did not produce a draft
Most signals do not produce a draft, and that is the intended behaviour. The usual reasons are that the person was contacted recently, that they already have a message waiting, that a conversation is open with them, that the post had nothing worth responding to, or that the draft failed a quality check.
Common reasons
- They have been contacted recently, including by you directly on LinkedIn.
- They already have a message waiting or queued. One person receives at most one message per cycle.
- They have replied to you, so automation stops entirely and a human takes over.
- The post was a contact card, a link drop, a job advert or a slogan.
- A first-contact message was skipped because a conversation already exists.
- The draft repeated a phrase used with someone else recently.
- The draft asserted a fact that could be checked, so it was held for review instead.
- The daily allowance is spent, or it is outside your sending hours.
This is the product working
Every one of those is a deliberate refusal. A system that always found something to send would be a sequence tool with extra steps.
If you consistently see no drafts at all over several weeks, check that at least one rule is enabled and that your connection is healthy.
