The daily email, and turning it off
The product reads your network several times a day whether or not you are signed in. The daily email is how it tells you when something needs you: a draft waiting for a decision, or somebody who has written back. It is sent on weekday mornings and only on a day there is genuinely something to do.
When it does not arrive
A quiet week means a quiet inbox. There is no "nothing to report" message, because an email that arrives every morning saying nothing is one people stop opening within a week, and then the one that matters is missed with it.
What is in it
- Replies waiting for you, listed first, because a person who is waiting outranks a draft that has not been sent.
- Drafts to review.
- Anything approved and going out that day, which is your last chance to change your mind.
Turning it off
There is a link at the bottom of every one, and it works without signing in. You can also turn it off under Settings, then Profile.
Emails about your account itself, such as a password reset or a receipt, are separate and cannot be switched off.
