Outcomes
When a conversation reaches its end you record what it came to: a meeting, a customer, or nothing. This is the only thing in the product that measures a result rather than an activity, and it is what turns the dashboard from a report on our behaviour into an answer about yours.
Three answers, on purpose
Three is the number of answers anybody actually gives. Asking for a stage, a value and a close date turns a two second judgement into a form, and a form that does not get filled in produces a number that looks real and is not.
Why "nothing" matters as much as the other two
A trigger that produces plenty of replies and no meetings is worse than one that produces neither, because it costs you time as well as attention. Without somewhere to record that, the dashboard can only ever report good news.
How it is attributed
- To the last message that went out before you marked it, so one meeting counts once rather than once per message.
- A meeting with no message to credit still counts in the total. You had the meeting either way.
- Never guessed from the words of a reply. "Sounds good, let me think" is not a meeting.
