The inbox
When somebody replies, everything queued for that person is cancelled and the conversation is yours. The inbox shows what is waiting for a human first, and replying from it sends immediately rather than joining the approval queue, because a person typing to another person does not need approving.
What happens on a reply
- Everything drafted or approved for that person is cancelled straight away.
- The conversation is flagged as needing a human.
- An opt-out is honoured automatically, without waiting for you to read it.
Replying
A reply you type goes immediately. It is not put through the draft guard, because blocking your own turn of phrase in your own reply would be absurd: that guard exists to stop machine-written text sounding machine-written.
It does count against the daily message cap, because LinkedIn counts it, but it is never refused for budget. Declining to let you answer somebody who wrote to you would be the wrong trade.
Finding a conversation
Search covers the person, their headline, and the text of anything anybody said, because "where is the thread with Sarah" and "who mentioned the budget" are the same question from the reader's side. Searching always looks at everything rather than respecting the needs-a-reply filter.
